Do I have to fall asleep with roses in my hand?

The Dauphin said something to me awhile ago about buying John Mayer’s CD “Continuum”. I want it because I love his cover of Jimi Hendrix’ “Bold As Love”. The Dauphin just likes the songs he’s heard from it on the radio. Of course, this necessitated the usual discussion over who’s going to actually possess the CD. (They tend to vanish into the CD player in his truck, and I can’t get my grimy little mitts on them. He’s had Natalie MacMaster’s “In My Hands” for a YEAR now! I notice he leaves my Garbage, Elvis Costello and Hildegard von Bingen CD’s alone, though. I wonder why.)
In the meantime, perhaps Santa will bring two copies of the aforementioned CD to our house, in the interest of domestic harmony. One can always hope.

p.s. Of course, we’re overlooking the fact that Mr. Mayer was evidently dating Jessica Simpson. Ms. Simpson is now Tony Romo’s problem, according to ESPN’s “Monday Night Football” commentators….
